1. About Orbit

NovaSoft Orbit supports a local preview and an account-based service when enabled. Orbit AI 2.5 is the name and version of its AI assistant, not a claim that NovaSoft trained or owns the underlying AI models. Demo replies are scripted and labelled Demo.

2. Your content

Only provide content you have the right to use and, when live AI is enabled, to send to the configured provider. You remain responsible for the content you upload and how you use generated results.

3. Reviewing results and actions

AI results can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review important facts, calculations, citations and generated code before relying on them. Verified citations confirm that quoted text appears in a source; they do not establish that the source itself is correct. Document edits are proposals you choose to apply, and local drafts require your approval.

4. Storage and temporary chats

In account mode, saved work is stored in your own workspace in Supabase. In local preview mode, it is stored on the computer running Orbit and is not encrypted at rest by Orbit. Protect your device and keep exports of important work. Temporary chats are kept in server memory, but their content is still sent to the AI provider when live AI is enabled. 5. Subscriptions and AI usage

Guests receive five messages before account creation is required. The proposed Free plan includes a small monthly allowance for everyday AI tasks. Starter costs A$9.90/month and Pro A$19.90/month, with the total recurring price shown in Stripe Checkout before purchase. Each plan has one shared AI allowance: model input, billed output including reasoning, and every call in an agent run consume it. Orbit Swift generally uses less than Orbit Depth. The allowance resets on the first of each month at 00:00 UTC; unused allowance does not roll over. Subscriptions renew monthly on their Stripe billing date, which may differ from the allowance reset date. Orbit stops AI requests when the remaining allowance cannot cover them and does not automatically charge for extra usage. Pending requests reserve a maximum amount; interrupted calls with unknown billing are conservatively charged at that maximum. Each agent run is capped at 20% of the total monthly allowance. You can manage payment details and cancel renewal through Account & billing. Cancellation at period end retains paid access until that date; unpaid or failed-payment subscriptions may return to Free. Deleting workspace data does not cancel a subscription. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. Third-party AI services

This public preview does not send your content to an AI service. A future live-AI service may use third-party AI services. Before live processing is enabled, the applicable privacy notice will identify the providers receiving your content, the purpose of processing, retention arrangements and relevant international transfers. Requests may include recent messages, relevant file excerpts, project brief items and saved preferences. Third-party services may process content outside Australia under their own policies. Running the application locally does not mean live AI processing stays on your device. Demo mode sends nothing to an AI service.

Privacy and data

Where your data lives

• Saved chats, files, documents, briefs, drafts and preferences are stored in your account's isolated workspace in Supabase when account mode is enabled. The dedicated Orbit project is in Sydney, Australia; some authentication and other service processing may occur elsewhere. Local preview mode stores work in a SQLite database on the computer running Orbit, without encryption at rest by Orbit.
• Temporary chats are kept only in this server’s memory: not written to the database, not searchable, not in exports and never used for project memory or preference suggestions. They disappear when you delete them or the server stops. In live-model mode their text is still sent to the model provider, so “temporary” is not “private” or “zero retention”.
• Your browser keeps unsent message drafts and unsaved document edits in local storage so a reload does not lose them.
• Demo mode makes no AI calls. Account mode still sends saved work and authentication requests to Supabase. In live AI mode, each reply sends recent messages, relevant file passages (not whole files), project brief items and your saved preferences to the AI provider. AI service credentials and database server secrets never reach the browser.
• Accounts and payments. Supabase processes your email address, verification codes and account identity. Stripe processes checkout, subscription and payment information; Orbit does not store your card number. Your browser receives an encrypted HttpOnly session cookie. IP addresses are hashed for abuse-rate controls. Usage and billing records are retained when you delete workspace content, to enforce allowances and administer your subscription.

Take it or delete it

Settings → Your data exports workspace content as JSON or deletes it. Deleting removes saved chats, files, documents, projects, drafts and preferences. Usage totals, account identity and billing records are kept so spending limits and subscriptions stay accurate. Use Account & billing to cancel a subscription. Contact NovaSoft to request account deletion and discuss any records that must be retained.

Markets mode is a research aid, not investment advice. Orbit cannot place trades, has no live market data, and cannot predict prices. Sources can be wrong or out of date. Evidence strength is computed from verified quotations and is not a probability. Backtests describe past data only; past results do not predict future results. Paper trading is a simulation on your own computer.
